- They’re a global and popular company, which means their products are easily accessible.
- They truly practice what they preach! They preach conservation and respecting nature, and their products are (nearly) all sustainably made.
I highly recommend their clothes as a gateway into sustainable fashion because you don’t have to feel like you’re going out on a limb trying a small, new brand. Patagonia is definitely geared towards the outdoors (hiking, working out, swimsuits, jackets, etc), but they also carry weekend wear including dresses. In addition to ordering online, you can also find their clothes at REI, Nordstrom, Dicks, and more. Here are my favorite picks from the sale!
The perfect summer short! Made with 92% recycled nylon, these are a great sustainable buy. They don’t hug the thighs (that’s the worst, isn’t it?) so they extremely comfortable. They also have a drawstring waist which is convenient. I’ve worn these guys hiking and on weekend errands, but they would also make for a great beach or weekend short. I’m particularly drawn to the patterned Belay Stripe color, and they also come in green, yellow, and purple. On sale here for $38!
What’s better than a good ‘ol tee? A tee that’s made with 100% recycled plastic! PLUS, it’s made with Fair Trade sewing. Sustainable for the planet + ethical for the people who make the shirt = a win-win. It comes in navy, yellow, and sage. I think the yellow and sage would carry really nicely into fall with jeans, boots & a flannel. Available here for $24.
Loving this summer dress – it’s lightweight, airy, and of course sustainable. Made from 100% TENCEL lyocell. The unique design especially the band at the bottom set this sundress apart from others. Plus, did I mention the pockets?! It comes in three different colors: navy (pictured above), green, and red. You can get it on sale for $90 here!
