Valentine’s Day – or Galentine’s Day – is right around the corner. I’ve put together a style guide of pieces I’m loving for this time of the year. This post features gift ideas and what to wear.
But before we get into that, I want to announce the two winners of the New Year Giveaway! Thank you all for your entries. And the winners are…..Congratulations to ~

Ok! Now onto the rest of the blog post. First, starting with gift ideas.
Gifts – Kate Spade “On Purpose”
Kate Spade is one of the most well-known high-end handbag and clothing brands in the U.S. Known for bold, bright, and feminine pieces, Kate Spade is a great place to go for gifts and a little something for yourself. Now you might be wondering…OK, that’s great and all, but how does Kate Spade fit into the ethical fashion world? Great question.
In 2014, Kate Spade launched a collection called On Purpose, with the goal of empowering women in Rwanda. When I first learned about this I was hopeful and impressed, but maybe a little skeptical.
“Every time you shop with purpose, a portion of the proceeds help us build something empowering and impactful in their community” – Kate Spade
But the On Purpose collection really seems to be making an impact in the lives of the women who make the purses. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, these heart-themed selections are my favorite from the current On Purpose collection:
This unique wristlet is made from leather, featuring white beaded detail on the hearts. This would make for a perfect Valentines (or Galentines!) day gift. Available here for $128.
I love the level of detail that was put into this design. The sparkles on the heart and the beads on the clutch. This is a really special, unique clutch that will stand out wherever you go. Available here for $198.
It seems like everyone I talk to these days is sick of huge, carryall purses. It’s just too much to lug around! I hear ya. Instead, you can opt for this small, feminine yet edgy crossbody in Pink Sunset. Made of leather, embellished with studs. Available here for $198.
Next time you’re shopping for Kate Spade, consider purchasing from the On Purpose collection. You can shop the entire On Purpose collection here.
What To Wear
I’ve put together both casual and fancy options so you can stay festive whether you’re spending the night in or going out on a romantic date.
Amour Vert’s ribbed Morgan top in plum with bell sleeves is a cute go-to that can be worn well beyond the Valentine’s Day season. Made with sustainable modal fabric. You can get it on sale (!!) here for $48.
Mara Hoffman’s cropped Margaret sweater is perfect for a Galentine’s celebration with your friends, or for a chill night in with your significant other. Made with 100% organic cotton. Rent for $45 here.
AMUR top ~
AMUR’s Floral Teresa Top is a dark, romantic floral that immediately caught my eye. This is also a sustainable top, made from 100% organic silk and 100% recycled polyester (woo!). The shoulder cutouts give this top a flirty vibe. Rent for $70 here. You can also purchase the blouse here for $239.
If you have plans to go on a romantic date, I would recommend renting a dress instead of purchasing a new one. Here are my picks from Rent the Runway:
Tome is a luxury high end fashion brand with a focus on sustainability. This wrap dress is made of 50% acetate and 50% viscose. You can rent Tome’s Red Structured Dress here for $195.
Made from 100% recycled polyester (score!), this ruffled red lace dress is ideal for a romantic night out. AMUR’s Mila dress is available for rent here for $65.
Not made out of any sustainable fabrics, but this option is super cute. An uber romantic red lace sheath that’s just screaming to be worn on Valentines Day. You can rent it here for $45.
This option is also not sustainable, but by renting you can make sure this dress gets to it’s #30wears. Rounding out this post with a simple, classic option for a Valentine’s night out. This Red Perry dress by Likely has bell sleeves and a bright red fabric. Rent it here for $30.
What do you think? Do you like the options above? Let me know in the comments!
