It’s the most wonderful time of the year! A time of love, giving, and….consumption. I’ve put together a gift guide containing my favorite ethical jewelry gifts to help you consciously consume this season.
Made locally by a D.C.-based artist, Kicheko Goods invests in education for children in the Democratic Republic of Congo with every jewelry purchase. One piece of Kicheko jewelry = one month of education at the Mango Tree School for a child in the DR Congo. Knowledge is power, and education is one of the most important things to invest in. I love what Kicheko is doing. You can read more about the impact and the Mango Tree School here!
The black heart necklace features a 16k gold plate set on Italian neoprene, at a choker length. This piece will carry you from work to happy hours to the weekend. It would also make a great gift for those in your life who like simplicity and elegance. It also comes in brown leather and nude. You can snag it here for $45.

ABLE (formerly FashionABLE) is a Nashville-based ethical jewelry and clothing company. All of their jewelry is handcrafted in Nashville by women who have overcome hardships in their lives. Everyone deserves a second chance, and I love that ABLE is giving these women a chance to earn and provide for themselves. With your package, they’ll send you a note indicating who made your jewelry!
Cuz I know that it’s delicate…(catch the TSwift reference)? Anyway..this necklace is a darling, delicate piece. It an be worn at a choker length or longer (there are 3 adjustable lengths). I have this ring and I’m obsessed with it. It’s ON SALE right now for $25! This is one of my go-to daily wear rings, and that’s an excellent price. It comes in gold, silver, or rose gold. I highly recommend it! You can get the x ring here.

I find it tough to wear bracelets because some you can barely get around your wrist; others are way too big. Luckily this gold cuff from ABLE is adjustable. It’s made from hand flattened gold and is currently on sale for $36! You can get the gold cuff here.
Madewell x Winden
I love when Madewell collaborates with cool, unique designers and artists. Madewell might not be at the top of your mind when you think sustainable or ethical shopping. But they often pair up with sustainable and ethically minded producers to create specially unique products.
The Madewell x Winden collaboration is really exciting, because Winden is an NYC-based “responsible” jewelry brand. They craft eco-friendly fine jewelry, and this sunstone necklace is no exception. Made from recycled 14k gold, this unique necklace is certain to shine wherever you wear it. Plus it’s being sold exclusively at Madewell, so you can be sure you’re getting a truly unique piece. So go on, send a not so subtle hint to your significant other ;-). The necklace is available here for $275.
