Peplum + Floral

I’ve never met a floral peplum top that I didn’t love, and this one is just perfect for spring. I find the peplum style flattering because it isn’t super form fitting, but still gives you shape. The blouse featured here is a looser peplum style, so it gives off more of a laid back vibe.

This is one of those versatile shirts that I’m going to be wearing everywhere from work to lunch dates on the weekend. It’s aptly named the “Hermione Peplum Blouse” so Harry Potter fans, you know there was no way I was passing up on this top. I feel like I’m channeling my inner Emma Watson while wearing it.

The top is from Palo Alto based Amour Vert, who I first came across years ago while reading a magazine at a hair salon. The peplum blouse also comes in 3 different patterns/colors. Oh, and did I mention that it’s currently marked down? It’s almost 50% off (no code needed!). The top is made from 100% Indian Silk. The silk comes from a family owned mill in India, and only non-toxic dyes are used on the fabric. Click here to learn more about Amour Vert’s fabrics.

Beware: it is dry clean only, so be sure to get as many wears out of it as you can between cleanings. I’ll be doing a post on how to find sustainable/green dry cleaning options, since many of them use harsh chemicals. Stay tuned, and as always, please let me know your thoughts in the comments below! 🙂
